I'm back

First i'm glad to be back to this blog, i went away and came back. But its nice I can easily come back to it. It's like this, when you have a good friend, you lose contact for a long period and then come back and friendship is still intact. Big shout out to my lingu (adam) Glad i saw you after a year. No excuse keeping in contact is easy, drifting apart should hard, but doesn't matter once the bonds form then it can never been broken.

Lady Vengeance "Listen carefully. Everyone make mistakes. But if you committed a sin, you have to make an atonement for that sin. Atonement, do you know what that means? Big Atonement for big sins. Small Atonement for small sins. " Posted by Picasa

Big Atonement for big sins. Small Atonement for small sins.

Years started both Chinese and English New Year has passed. Well back from Hong Kong and now back to live in UK. LG (life good) well not bad.
I have been meaning to watch a movie with Riyad (one of best mate) for ages, so discussion been going on for weeks and we decided that we wanted to watch Lady Vengeance film. I like the idea of this movie as it’s made from the oldboy director and also the theme with a Lady getting revenge seem really cool.
Well from days I work and riyad doing late shift that really gave us Thursday to Sunday evening to watch this movie. We decided to go the Thursday, on that day while walking through the tube I notice the poster saying that it’s going nationwide on 10th Feb (the next day). So at work I went through my metro paper to check if anywhere was showing it. Very luckily the curson had a preview showing at 6.30, so I rang them up and ask if they were showing it and if they had tickets. Unfortunately the lady told me that they had sold out. We plan to watch Hidden instead a French movie which had many twists. While trying to arrange the cinema event, my workmate Ed said he would like to join us. Hidden was showing at baker street and curson in 6-7 time slot. So speaking to Riyad he wanted Price difference for both cinema (£9.50 curson - £8.50 baker st), which we eventually decided curson as it was easier via bus for him. Ed left work early then me, so went down to Curson to get the movie tickets first. When I arrived, to my surprise Ed had gotten refunded tickets for Lady Vengeance, he said 5 people didn't turn up. So he had grabbed them. The film was really good, funny at times, very smart and nice soundtrack. This event not only did we watch the movie, we also got to meet Park Chan Wook the director. He had a Q&A after the film which was cool, as he describes his feeling to the vengeance trilogy (sympathy Mr Vengeance, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance) and his JSA (joint security area) blockbuster. One dude had the most awful question, which every got everyone annoyed thinking he was a twat that wanted to seem smart. After the Q&A we were served with Korean beer and many Korean snacks. From just a night to the pictures, with no planning we got more than we deserved. So on the 9th Feb it’s was LG.

The title is a quote from the film, really touching moment.

Bye 2005 Hello 2006

I'm sitting here watching my monitor, but then deep in mind I'm counting the night of sleep before I leave to Hong Kong. Only 3 more nights I'll be going. Really looking forward. It so nice to know I can get out of UK for abit. Been keeping low profile, been in that kind of fight club role like Edward Norton, thinking why life is seeming abit meaning less. Not saying I'm disappointed coming back to London, change was guaranteed to happened. Remember speaking to aaron and was speaking about moving out, I said it would be nice to move out as never done it before, then he mentioned to me I have during Leeds. Been on some motivation course at work, and one class show us that human take the world in their own way, alot of filtering happens when we don't need information anymore. Maybe Leeds is one of those that I've filtered away, not saying I don't remember Amanda's cooking.
Looking forward to Hong kong, I think i've seen my grandad everytime my age ends with a 6. I remember at 6 running ahead of my grandpa while running towards rides in alton towers. Then at 16 when i'm going for stroll in sheung shui in the park and meeting older uncles and my grandad bragging to them this is my grandson. Now i'm 26 i look forward to seeing him again and just going on nice stroll with him and having some lunch in resturant (as mastercard would say it definately priceless.) Also can't wait to see my grandma and sit there watching Tv with her in the evening. Remember me and sister watching murder she wrote and hiding behind my grandma who didn't even know what was happening. She use to do jigsaw puzzle really big ones.
Hope you all have an excellent xmas and super new year. If you are like me and feel 2005 has been terrible, then lets all put our hands up and wave bye to 2005. I'm so welcoming in 2006 at moment.
Also to all those people that have ask about me, I really apprieciate and look forward to seeing you soon.

Lunch time for Nara

I'm at moment writng my next blog while eating my mum fried rice with some chop green peppers. I've also just brought in oo long chai, which is really nice me and gary (work mate) drink it. Others look at me and say what the hell is that, someone said does it get you hyper. I'm thinking its only herbal green tea or tea without milk, this is definately culture shock, but i keep drinking until they all convert. While making my lunch was speaking to a girl who was speaking about immigration to canada, which was really interesting cos aaron alway talks about it, so now i know more info for him. Well had nice weekend, had lunch with my mummy (yam chai)(eating dim sum) I paid cos i got paid from work. After i visited riyad to make him get a dvd. Then after bump into aaron, then tien and suki, then met deepak and also phil came out. Other's came along alicia, evita, susan and amy. Had drinks in sport bar and then in evening had korean food in Nara. Food was really nice, but quite spicy. While at restuarant i notice the menu having my name on the menu next door to word nara, after asking the staff i found out kwok mean nara in korean. The latvia girls also told me that nara means the mermaid. So just to add onto the my previous blog, you can also called me nara from now on, if you feeling korean.

Say my name / my name is ?

I haven't blog for ages, and have so much more to update. Been so glad to back to in london. Those M1 nightmares have been gone and dusted. Well this a blog i was thinking from work, it kind of came up from one work mate asking me what my name means and also phil asking me whats my name on my passport. Back to my work mates, i explain to them my full name is Kwok Hung and surname Lau. If you didn't know that like vivian then deserve kick :) . Well i describe Kwok it means country, and those being chinese know if you add my name to beauty. As in beauty kwok, it means america, central kwok its means china and hero kwok it means England, also aaron kwok is a movie star in hong kong also aaron is a good friend of mine. And hung is for courage, also famous for wong fei hung (the same hung). After that they understood my name. My name was given by my grandad and aunty in hong kong. And another fact is i seen i person on chinese tv who is called lau kwok hung too, and my doctor is called lee kwok hung aka patrick lee or Dr lee. Well apart from my usual name, i'm know to many people with different names. My mum calls me saddam hung, saddam from 2 words sad dom which means you got guts and arrogant. Not sure why. Most my family call me kwoky from my aunty pam. More sounding like Gokky ahh (ahh cos we chinese). My sister calls me stinky i call her smelly (she really smell haha). I'm called jarrer by deepak and i also call him the same name. Lingu bow or lingu is what lingu adam calls me, you dont want to know what lingu is, but its hakka so not many would know. My cousin Soso calls me friendy, which i started when i was 7 and kept on calling her friendy. Some people call me hung, just using my middle name cos it sound easier. Some people use both kwok hung. A guy at work email me calling me lau, and his name was brian, so when i reply and i called him brain. Nicky, aaron and some others call me kwokster. The man of steel from ade. Tien calls me kwok power, apparently kwok power is like scrappy power which annoys me slightly (where's the power). Riyad calls me kwoky-san making me sound cute. And recently amy calls me kwok kwok, but she makes it sound like gok gok (Cute init NOT). Its really strange what names people call you, but i can tell you something. If you call me with right name i'll give you a good respond, if you call me with a wrong name i respond with the destiny child song Say my name say my name song, or eminem track my name is kwok.

You knew it was coming

Haha i'm back ahh. Yeah its been 1 year and finally i back in London. No more 4 hours, 250 miles and journey of the M1. But I think even if you stay anywhere for a small period you start to have this feeling to it. I am so much gonna miss certain things from Leeds. Especially My flat mate Amanda, I think without her this period would have not been so Ok. Had so many fun times and even sad times when we have come together and share thoughts. She a dreamer and so am I. We appose the realistic people, but know that we have to be realistic to survive. Like doing a 9-5, get a normal job and typical traditions. Well I have met most people I wanted while coming back, haven't met Nicky who scank my cafe nero card :(. Deepak who always says meet up, and I’m saying when. Wayne wow I haven't spoken for abit, feeling strange "Shall we talk". Lingu bow adam haha, I have to meet you man. Jay its summer you better get yourself down to London. A year is too hard to predict when I left for year ago, I thought things would be as I expect but nothing is as u think it is. Finally my workmates and flatmates got me some pressie and really thankful to them. I got cooking book and doing it book hehe from work mates. I always talk about food so they thought get me a cooking book, doing it book hmm, hahah. My flatmates got me Yorkshire dale book, really nice but I think most important is what message people wrote to me and kwok really appreciates them. As I say always to any people who gives me gift, I’m a bad reactor so if I don’t show much doesn't mean I don't like it.

It aint all that obvious

Yes if you be following kwok blog i'm back. Just revising for a test and then many things flick through my head. I was speaking to flat mate Michael before I started to revise, I notice that he seem to be really open with his thoughts and ask me advise like I was more wiser. I think through out this period in Leeds I haven't actually looked that deep into this person. Yes he did clinched his fist and wanted to beat me up. Bad action does that make you a bad person? I don’t think so. I watch a Chinese movie years ago, where this carer who looked after mentally disordered people, finds a way to communicate and actually understand them. At the end of this movie the person actually gets killed by one of his patient by accident when trying to calm him down. I'm not saying I’m that fantastic, I dare not but I do think sometimes when I speak to mike I know I’m speaking to someone that needs care. And sometimes his anger is a way of expressing himself, different but that's his way. I sometime treat people I love or close to me wrongs. Have you ever seen mount kwok erupt? If you have I apologize and congratulate you, because you have experienced A. kwok explosion B. You are close to me. Please don't go home and advocate me by punching the lights out of your loves one because you read this. I remember once I was less experience in life and someone I was speaking to then said they didn't have time to teach me. It really hurt at that moment, but maybe I was like Mike then seeking guidance.

To wrap this blog up or you might fall asleep,
Movie if you haven't seen "Pay it forward" it aint all about gain in life.
